Chicken and Waffles Restaurant, Pop-up Floral Shop Join The Exchange
A pop-up floral shop and a new take on chicken and waffles are the latest tenants to sign on to The Exchange in the 200 block of North College Avenue on the edge of Old Town.
Chick’nCone, which began as a food truck in the Poconos of Pennsylvania, is now available as a franchise. It makes a portable version of an old favorite: chicken and waffles. The menu features fried chicken-stuffed waffle cones with a choice of six sauces: spicy ranch, traditional or yellow barbecue, cinnamaple, piri piri and buffalo blue cheese.
Bloom is a homegrown pop-up flower shop focusing on fresh flowers and mini bouquets, packaging and arrangements designed in up-cycled containers, plants and vintage antiques.
The shop offers do-it-yourself space for those interested in creating their own floral designs, according to a tenant announcement from Brinkman, developer of The Exchange.
Chick’nCone and Bloom join eight tenants that are already open or under construction, including FoCo Da Vinci Body; CopperMuse Distillery; Churn Ice Cream — the flagship of the outdoor plaza; Fort Collins Doughnut Company, or FoCo DoCo; Vatos Tacos and Tequila; Steamies Burger Bar; and The Pizza Press.
